birds chirp, dogs bark, bodies change
As we head into the first weekend of summer remember this: nobody cares as much about your body as you do!
If you put on a bathing suit this weekend & find yourself resenting how you look, pinching at your folds, & cringing at your thighs, I want you to think about this:
Why do you care so much?
Like reallyyyy think about it. Dig deep. Journal on it.
Where do these thoughts originate from?
Are they old stories you've been telling yourself based on previous lived experiences?
Maybe how your mother and grandmother talked about their bodies?
Or maybe they're made-up stories you've been telling yourself based on the messages we're fed by diet culture?
Wherever they come from, you have the power to re-write your story around how you treat and talk to your body.
I’ve struggled with body image on and off for YEARS.
Then I came to the conclusion… who cares except for me?
Birds chirp.
Dogs bark.
Bodies change.
It’s normal. It’s part of life. It doesn’t change one single thing about YOU.
Remember that.
Now give yourself a hug, speak kindly to yourself, and move on. 😘
